Just Cavalli

Cavalli's grandfather, Giuseppe Rossi, was a renowned painter and part of the Machiaiolo movement so it is no mystery where Cavalli got his creative streak! Roberto Cavalli himself has spoken of his grandfather as his main inspiration source when creating.

Roberto Cavalli originally started out focussing mainly on colors and textures by developing a signature fabric printing technique.

From there, Cavalli went on to experiment with printed leather. The first Cavalli pieces that really garnered commercial and critical success were unmatched leather patchwork apparel, and leather, denim and animal prints still are the core of Cavalli's design aesthetic. Just Cavalli bares in it all the features of his other work and ups the antic with a youthful playfulness.
