No, Paul & Joe are not a dashing duo: the label was launched by Sophie Albou, a Sorbonne graduate who learned to design at the Institut Français de la Mode and got her fashion-mileage at Azzedine Alaia.

Sophie Albou, named her label after her two young sons.

The company started out producing menswear, but it wasn't until Albou started designing for women that the company's popularity started to take flight. Her small Paris boutiques soon got the reputation of being a hidden gem, a secret well kept by fashion insiders. Sophie loves working with color and prints. Her label offers a feminine, whimsical look that is thoroughly French.
