NetPerformer SDM-9220

The NetPerformer SDM-9220 is a voice and data router designed specifically for low-bandwidth, small office environments to digitally converge voice and data traffic over WAN infrastructures. It supports up to 8 digital or analog voice channels per gateway and also supports VoIP over SIP protocols and a wide range of voice codecs, providing interoperability for multi-vendor and mixed public/private networks, enabling enterprises to build bandwidth-efficient private enterprise networks that permit interconnection with voice service providers for off-net calls.

The NetPerformer SDM-9220 uses award-winning, field-proven digital convergence technology to compress voice and data technology over efficient packet-based networks, effectively integrating disparate PBX systems and providing a uniform dialing plan and services throughout your enterprise.

NetPerformer enables you to:

  • Deliver superior voice and data QoS
  • Support up to 8 analog or BRI telephony channels
  • Maximize bandwidth resources
  • Enable converged satellite access
  • Reduce network and equipment complexity
  • Leverage legacy technology investments
  • Ensure a cost-effective migration path to VoIP

Unmatched flexibility

The NetPerformer SDM-9220 PBX and PSTN telephony interfaces include analog FXS, FXO, E&M and digital ISDN/QSIG BRI, with optional SIP support for VoIP phones and PBXs. This unequaled flexibility enables you to leverage your legacy technology investments towards dramatically lower infrastructure costs without creating new management headaches.

High quality over low-bandwidth

The NetPerformer SDM-9220, like all NetPerformer voice and data routers, utilize Verso’s patent-pending, award-winning PowerCell prioritization and voice/data compression technology, enabling superior voice quality with minimal bandwidth utilization by providing high-compression voice and data transport over various WAN infrastructures, including leased and switched lines, ISDN BRI and PRI, Frame Relay, and IP/PPP and IP/Ethernet circuits. Additionally, PowerCell QoS is combined with IP Precedence TOS bit and 802.1p/q support to provide end-to-end Quality of Service for both mission-critical voice and data applications. Additionally, you can define up to eight classes of service with 16 different levels of prioritization to ensure that your mission-critical applications always get the bandwidth they need.

Simplifies network management

Utilizing Verso's ActView® 3000, the SDM-9220 is easy to configure and manage, integrating with multi-vendor network management systems via SNMP-compliant MIBs and a user-friendly graphical interface. ActView includes SDM-9220 element management, and joins with HP OpenView® NNM for Windows or Unix (Sun Solaris) platforms for simple, effective control and an expanded vision of your network.

Reduces communications costs

Because inbound voice traffic from local and long distance carriers is still migrating to packet-based communications, enterprises migrating to a converged network continue to require access to the circuit-switched PSTN. The SDM-9220 provides a common channelized connection to both the PSTN and to packet-based networks, ensuring the ongoing flexibility of your infrastructure and lowering your communication costs even further by reducing the number of expensive telecommunications links and associated hardware.
