The VCLVCLEAR™ EAR Element Manager enables turnkey provisioning and management of network elements, from one central application, through a user-friendly, browser-based interface.

Centralized Access and Full Control

The VCLEAR™ Element Manager is a centralized application for provisioning, configuring and monitoring VCLEAR™ network elements and associations with third-party edge devices supported by VCLEAR™ softswitch solutions. VCLEAR™ Element Manager provides the means to effectively and efficiently manage enterprise managed services, wholesale and retail toll bypass, IP based peering (H.323/SIP/SIP-T interconnection) and Voice over Broadband.

Unlike other vendor solutions, which employ multiple systems and data streams, VCLEAR™ Element Manager combines all of the input required to process calls, from configuration of the actual network devices, to subscriber and call routing management, in order to provide error free network deployment.

VCLEAR™ Element Manager's integrated management of the VCLEAR™ network enables you to provide quick response to customer, partner and internal network demands. Whether it's a network technician in a remote location checking the configuration of a network port - to a marketing manager opening a new sales center and adding new service reps with order processing capabilities - to a network engineer assessing capacity requirements; as the fully integrated web-based configuration component of the VCLEAR™ network, VCLEAR™ Element Manager enables these network tasks to be completed simultaneously at any location.

Flexible Network Environments

VCLEAR™ Element Manager is designed to operate over a wide range of operating and networking environments. Based on Java and web technology, VCLEAR™ Element Manager is accessible from any client system with a standard web browser such as Netscape or Internet Explorer. The VCLEAR™ Element Manager server can be installed on a Windows-based or Solaris-based system, and supports a MS SQL or Oracle database.

Simplified Configuration and Provisioning

VCLEAR™ Element Manager enables one step configuration, provisioning, and management of VCLEAR™ network elements, associations with third party edge devices, subscriber accounts, call rating and call routing, ingress and egress dial rules, and other network settings.

By combining network element hardware configurations with corresponding network database entries, VCLEAR™ Element Manager greatly simplifies the network provisioning experience. The VCLEAR™ Element Manager user interface directs you to configuration tools for each hardware and software element in the network. A simple click on the appropriate icon allows you to add new network elements or display and update existing configurations.

Multiple Levels of User Access

VCLEAR™ Element Manager allows you to establish multiple levels of user access to control configuration and monitor access. Each VCLEAR™ Element Manager users is associated with access permissions enabling you to match the appropriate access level to a job role.

Network Wide Settings via VCLEAR Assist

VCLEAR™ Element Manager VCLEAR™ Assist allows you to configure and manage subscriber services (e.g., CLASS), extended services (e.g., emergency and operator services), call routing, call rating, and call accounting with real time database update capabilities.

Customer Access to Accounts and Services

The VCLEAR™ Element Manager Subscriber web portal enables service providers supporting MGCP and SIP endpoints to provide customers with web-based access to account information, such as call activity records; and settings for services provided to their account, such as call forwarding and speed dial.

Real Time Control and Monitoring

VCLEAR™ Element Manager offers real time control and monitoring tools, including options for:

• Start and stop applications
• View network elements - status and statistics
• Query network element attributes
• Track network statistics for analysis
