The highly versatile NetPerformer SDM-9230 integrates voice, data, and video traffic across a single, converged network. It reduces infrastructure costs and simplifies WAN connections without sacrificing Quality of Service (QoS) for voice and data applications.

The SDM-9230 supports both analog and digital BRI/PRI telephony channels and multiple T1/E1 data interfaces and serial data ports. By efficiently packetizing and compressing telephony traffic and delivering it with data over packet/cell-based connections or connection-less networks, the SDM-9230 allows maximum performance in a low-bandwidth environment.

Award-winning compression technology

Verso's PowerCell prioritization and voice/data compression technology enables superior voice quality with minimal bandwidth utilization. It provides high-compression voice and data transport over various WAN infrastructures, including leased and switched lines, ISDN BRI and PRI, Frame Relay, IP/PPP, and IP/Ethernet circuits. PowerCell QoS is combined with IP Precedence TOS bit and 802.1p/q support to provide end-to-end QoS for mission-critical voice and data applications. Users can define up to eight classes of service with 16 different levels of prioritization to ensure that mission-critical applications always receive sufficient bandwidth.

Multi-protocol support

NetPerformer also supports standards-based VoIP via SIP protocol and a wide range of voice codecs, providing interoperability for multi-vendor and mixed private/public networks.

Scalable and flexible

The SDM-9230 supports analog and digital voice as well as legacy and packet data. It integrates disparate voice and data networks, reduces costs, and increases flexibility. The SDM-9230 is equipped with three expansion slots, ensuring maximum scalability and flexibility.

Enhanced satellite access capabilities

Verso has partnerships with the major satellite vendors providing support for SCPC, TDMA, and IP broadband satellite technologies, including Verso's SkyPerformer® satellite optimization solution. Carriers can operate a hybrid satellite/terrestrial topology over a single platform, further reducing costs and minimizing complexity.

Network management and reporting

The ACTView® 3000 application is an advanced GUI that uses the industry-standard HP OpenView® Workgroup Node Manager for Windows 95 or HP OpenView Network Node Manager for Windows NT/2000 and Unix Sun Solaris as its NMS platform. The application enables the user to manage virtually any other platform from a single network management station, avoiding redundancies in network management and the costs associated with multiple NMS platforms.
