The Minds Behind the Molecules

Escentric Molecules was created by master perfumer Geza Schoen, formerly of Haarmann & Reimer, together with graphic designer Paul White, known for his work with Björk and Me Company. Their goal was to strip fragrance back to its essence, treating scent as chemistry and art rather than performance.

The Skin Scent Approach

Escentric Molecules helped establish the skin scent movement, where fragrance sits close to the body instead of projecting outward. The brand's signature, Molecule 01, is composed of a single aroma-molecule, Iso E Super, and reacts individually with each wearer's skin rather than following a fixed structure.

Genderless Fragrance Since 2006

Escentric Molecules was designed for skin, not gender, well before this became a wider trend in perfumery. The collection is organised into clear categories: Escentric, Molecule and Molecule +, giving a straightforward way to explore concentrated, single-note compositions or blends built around them.
